Flavim
Flavim is a website I found when researching ideas and thoughts for my extended project and to be a bit different I am going to use them as my artist research as I think they're are some really good photos on there which I really like and can talk about.
This photo I think is really cute and different as the dress really adds detail to not just the tights and shoes. It goes with the 50's/vintage effect which links with my man made theme. It looks like a wind machine would have to been used for the effect of it moving but also a very fast shutter speed so it didn't blur.
This photo I think is good aswell as the effect of it is very vintagey. The different shoe types and socks is a look I want for my final piece using different types of generations to represent fashion. This photo looks like it has been taken with a film camera or edited to look like it.
Inspiration
This is a website of photos for my inspiration of my extended project. When I have some time to go back into my work I might try out some different shots with more varitety and context behind it for example childrens feet on grass with flowers as it will be summer time or legs coming out of a car.. something a bit different.

Shoe Stock 2
This shoot I looked at lighting and really like the way the light is positioned as it shows the detail on the shoe really well. The sharpness of the photo makes the detail look really good aswell. Against the black background to it emphasis the shoes to make them stand out. As I wanted these photos to look professional and sharp I used a ISO around 400/300 so it was in focus and clean.
This photo I think looks a lot like a picture in show rooms or studios as the lighting is equal. The lighting shows the detail of the shoes perfectly and against the black background it makes the shoes stand out.
Jordan Weeks 1&2
These are the pictures for my final image of extended project. I will now edit on the pictures of the legs and feet to show people waiting at a bus stop. I would also like to try this edit with cyanotype as I think it would look like different and have a nice effect with the natural daylight.
Iphone pictures
These are some pictures I took on my iphone and edited on a editing app I have. I just wanted to add them into my work as they show different types of shoes (urban american look) of girls and boys feet. I also like the way I edited them being quite deep/dark urban colours matching the shoes.
Shutter Stock

This is a website of all different types of shoes which I am using for my inspiration of my shoes and socks shoot. A lot of them use depth of field which I will do in my shoots and try out different angles. I also think it's quite a good base for my final piece of showing different types of shoes and styles as this website shows different types and camera angles.

I like this photo to try out for a shoot of using actually someone with their feet in shoes but also using shoes by the side as I think it looks quite cool. Using different types of colours represent girliness and feminim which is what my theme is (different types of shoes between women and male and age) I also might try a black or white background and try out some different types of lighting so I experiment using this idea but going off in my own way.
Jordan Weeks
Jordan Weeks is an English photographer who focusses on Sport, Tourism and Travel photography. Jordan struggled to find exactly what it was that he wanted to photograph. He tried experimenting with Musician Photography, Fashion Portraits and even Weddings but didn't like any of them so took up the theme of his career. He focusses on all types of angles which is going to work really well with my outside shoots for my final piece as I am taking photos at a low angle (floor level) he also takes all of his photos outside (landscapes) which I am looking at doing.
I really like this photo as it shows the low angle really well. A very fast shutter speed has been used on this photo to keep the foot in focus as it's moving. I haven't experimented with shutter as I am not focussing on movement. I might try a shutter speed shoot (a short one) with different colours of shoes so it's like a blur of colour representing gender.
This could link with Uta Barth and Louise Gains (my first project, natural form)
Van Leemputten 1 (Sally Mankus inspiration)
These images I took with studio lighting and I love how they came out. I love the way the shadowing falls onto the feet and the sharpness of the image you can see hairs. The aperture is around 4.6. This helps and I used it because it works for the style of the photo. It makes the foot seem more sharper and in focus against the black background and then works for the shadowing. This shoot was done to show different parts of the body as my project was on legs/feet/shoes/clothes so I am pleased with the outcome of this.
Van Leemputten
Van Leemputten focusses on Human Form which I am doing as a back up for my final piece of my extended projuct. His photos also focus on the dark room so if I have enough time I might use some final images and try out some development in the dark room. His photos are always in black and white with amazing lighting so I am going to try out a shoot at home with lighting on feet/ankles to get some great shadows.

This is an image from the gallery on his website which I really like as the persons hand is fully in focus as it grabs your attention but the rule of thirds is used as you can see the side of the body on the right. The lighting has been based on the left as you can see the shadows of his fingers on the body. The colour of the skin also matches the background which looks like an embross effect.

Again this shoot was a trial to show different types of legs. Here I have used a womans and a mans. I looked at texture and structure of legs, as the womans on the left is much more tanned and smooth where as on the right the legs seem more bukly and around the knee area (older)
Shoes stock photos
These photos were a quick shoot experimenting with different types of shoes for context of my main final piece. I experimented with black and white and rule of thirds mainly to see what photos looked the most effective as when using the rule of thirds it can catch peoples attention as it stands out against from everything else.
Sally Mankus 2
These shoots I like because I used the depth of field in them in them which give them a sort of edgy effect. I used the rule of thirds on the first photo and using a low angle so it's on the same level as the foot I think makes it seem more realistic. I am going to use a film log to show the depth of field I used on some photos.
Inspiration - Jurgita Remeikyte
Jurgita Remeikyte is a photographer I came across when talking to my teacher about the project I would be doing and looking at her photos they seem to be more art and 3D than photography but the way her photos have appeared such as the same person but repeated everytime for the illusion effect and for my final piece I think I am going to do that with having a shoot of different legs but in the same place repeated.
These photos aren't prossenial ones he has taken they are photos of his work he does. I really like this affect because it looks different and unique to other photos. I have never experimented with anything like this before and I want to develop in my photos so I might do an experimentation like this on photoshop with images I have taken.
Sally Mankus
Sally Mankus works with mixed media installations and sculpture. Her work integrates photography, domestic objects and materials such as rust and carbon. She now lives and works in Shalimar, Florida and her work has been included in newspaper articles, catalogues and publications.
This photograph is such a different cool image as it's a montage of lots of images been put together. I have chose this image as an inspiration kind of image as when I am taking pictures of tights and legs I thought I could do a montage of legs all together with different styles of legs. You could always try this on photoshop with layering but also in the dark room on a piece of fabric mixing photos together.
I love this photo because it's so plain and simple but again I could link the style of this photo with my shoot on tights when editing on photoshop I will use a black background so the tights/legs stand out the most like the hands and white top do. I don't know what the black background is, to me it looks like a black cloth or piece of fabric because if you look around the white sleeves on the arm they look so fine and perfect but also they have the shape of an arm it's self. It's very clever.
Sally Mankus shoot 1
These images are inspiration by Jurgita Remeikyte with the repetition of the legs and using a black background base. I edited these on photoshop by cutting around the legs with the lazer tool then copying them six times. I wanted to try this and experiment as I haven't before and thought it would like quite effective and it would fit into my project.

These are some websites I found which gave me some examples and inspirations of different types of tights. I will try black and white and colour and different angles to make them look more different.

Extended project
For our extended project we had to think about which project we thought we could improve the most on and I thought about man made as my theme is so different to what photography I have done in the past I wanted to exceed it a bit more. I am focussing on different types of shoes/clothes from female to male to young and old and then photoshopping/layering onto a background. I am going to take a background shoot but focussing on having my angles on the floor (low angle) and I do the same angle for the shoes so I can layer them on but still look realistic.
